Photos: Chris Von Steiner's "The Snow King"

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, 20 Feb 2008

Chris Von Steiner's The Snow King takes its viewers on a compelling journey into a fantasy world best described as a homoerotic and Narnia-esque realm of mild sadomasochism, intense magic and some occasional pop culture imagery.
Chris's digital paintings of this enchanted realm weave eerie tales of fear and hope. Mystical animals, such as giant stags, green owls and white wolves, provide symbolic underpinnings to the trials of the human characters in Von Steiner's works.
The Snow King opened Friday February 15th at Strychnin Gallery's London location just around the corner from Brick Lane.  Visit and for more info.
