We are very excited to see that Australian-born, Berlin-based Charlie Isoe (cover artist from April 2010), is back in the exhibition swing. This Friday, June 28, Isoe will open a new solo show, In the Bad Bush, at Lazarides Gallery's Rathbone space in London. As the gallery notes, "After inexplicably vanishing from the art scene for over three years... [Isoe draws] from the isolation of Western Australia to his itinerant youth and lifestyle of abandon, and quickly established himself as a pioneer in his field."

"Featuring a series of large-scale canvases in loose, painterly brushstrokes, Isoe adheres to his archetypal decadent and sexually depraved imagery. The artist advances in his career with a turn towards the abstract setting his figures and colourfully twisting imagery against enormous photographic prints. Take a glimpse into the lurid life experiences of Charlie Isoe."
