In addition to the wonderful Stanley Kubrick exhibition on view at LACMA, there is yet another great reason to stop by this fine Los Angeles art institution during this holiday season: Bodies and Shadows: Caravaggio and His Legacy (which will be up through February 10th, 2013).
What ever kind of painting you may like, Carravaggio is undeniably amazing. With eight works by Caravaggio himself and about 56 works in all, the show unfolds with an evolution of his style and his general influence across Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands through the 17th century. Painting zealots and casual picture enthusiasts alike should make an effort to see these beauties in person and have a real one on one interaction with these masterworks, if you know what we mean.
