This is a fantastic Monday morning kick-off; designer Miya Ando created a long-sleeve kimono made of stainless steel plates and sterling silver rings. Add a little patina, pigment, lacquer, and a $25,000 price tag, you have the world's first bulletproof kimono.

As Ando notes, the piece is meant to be “between armor and jewelry, very feminine and opulent yet very strong.”
