Baseman: I Melt In Your Presence

Juxtapoz // Thursday, 15 Mar 2007
Gary Baseman sent us a preview of his solo show, I Melt In Your Presence, which opened March 15th, 2007 at Modernism in San Francisco, CA. We're reposting the previewed works along with our and a few of Gary's photos from the opening reception.

Two of the pieces in this show are the largest paintings he's ever done. Gary has this to say about his new works, "I love the body of work I am doing...I truly live in this surreal world. The little character around most of the girls is called a ChouChou, they take all your negative energy and hate and turn it into creamy gooey love." I Melt In Your Presence runs through May 5th.
