We recently ran across this photomontage by Barbara Morgan depicting media giant William Randolph Hearst extending his tentacles over the New York populace and it stopped us in our tracks. Check out this pre-photoshop image depicting one of the most powerful newspaper men from the twentieth century taking his grasp on the minds of the public. A beautifully crafted work marking the powerful influence Hearst had on the growing United States media.
