In anticipation of his upcoming solo, Beyond The Pink, we step away with Buff Monster and hit him with our set of 20 questions.

One reason you make art:

Girls.

The last good movie you saw:

Exit Through the Gift Shop was good.

Something you’ve always wanted to do, but have yet to:

Relax.

Favorite country or city visited:

Most recently, Berlin was rad.

A few words that sum up your philosophy on life:

Be honest, to yourself and others.

Something you want the world to know about you:

I’m actually quite sensitive.

Something that annoys or frustrates you about people:

Stupidity.

Something that concerns you:

Shark fining is really fucked up.

Artists you admire:

There’s a lot of them.

Favorite quote(s):

“It doesn’t matter if its good, it only matters if it rocks.” –Tenacious D

The first record or CD you ever bought?

The last album you downloaded? First tape I bought: Bon Jovi’s New Jersey. It was also the first concert I ever saw.

I really don’t download music all that much, but the last I downloaded was actually 3 Opeth albums. Just saw them live too.

Something you do when you’re procrastinating?

Answer these questions.

What is your most defining characteristic?

I don’t even know.

What is your greatest fear?

Cavities.

The moment you realized you were an ‘artist’:

When my parents framed a big painting I did in the first grade.

Your greatest quality:

There’s so many.

Something you wish you could change or alter about yourself:

My hair is getting long.

What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken and was it worth it?

Who writes these questions? Honestly.

Something you wish you had known five years ago:

Nothing.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next five years of your life?

I just want to do bigger and better projects and have an even better quality of life.
