Jamel Shabazz' seminal Back In the Days, a chronicling of hip-hop culture in NYC from 1980-89, is getting a 10th anniversary remix courtesy of powerHouse Books. The new edition will feature additional images, text by Fab 5 Freddy and Jeff Chang. This is the book that started the trend, so we say go with the source.
And seeing that we just completed a feature with Fab 5 Freddy, this is good timing to catch up on some histroy.
