Architecture to Accessory: The Jewelry of Vanessa GadeJuxtapoz // Thursday, 24 Jun 2010
Gade’s jewelry caught our eye for their deceptively simplistic, architectural quality. Like a strong woman, they offer the viewer something beautiful and striking, backed by delicate strength and balance.
She describes her work as contemporary, with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic reminiscent of Japanese and Scandinavian design. Particular pieces have been inspired by everything from art deco architecture, ikebana flower arrangements, suspension bridges and even criss-crossing power lines.
