An Ambitious Stage Design

Juxtapoz // Monday, 18 Apr 2011

We know that opera is extremely important in Central Europe, and currently, on Lake Constance near Bregenz, Austria, a 49-foot stage of a man's torso is being constructed for summer performances of "Andre Chenier" by Italian composer Umberto Giordano. This appears as some sort of surreal movie scene, but its just high-end performance art for opera fans.

All of a sudden, we want to tune into the European Opera Circuit this summer.
