Ai Weiwei, A Conversation

The story of Ai Weiwei continues to fascinate us, and as the Chinese artist was detained in Beijing on April 3, 2011, the Tate Modern in London (where Ai created his now famed sunflower seed installation in the grand Turbine Hall in 2010) has released an interview they did with the artist during his stay in London.

As we wrote yesterday, protestors turned out in Hong Kong over the weekend to demand the release of Ai, who is being held under the seemingly Kafka-esque charge of "suspected economic crimes."
