As we have noted and posted about all weekend, this weekend the Juxtapoz team heading down to Palm Springs for our kick-off collaboration with Ace Hotel to have artists paint the Commune Wall at the PS property. First to start off was Los Angeles-based Sage Vaughn, who joined us in the desert for art, music, and pooling. If that is a word.
Of course, we have a lot of people to thank for the entire weekend, especially everyone at Ace Hotel (Greg, Jou-Yie), the good people of 42 Below, all the DJs and musical acts (Father John Misty, Cuates, Sam, Keltronix, A-Ron the Don), the entire staff of the Palm Springs property, and of course, Sage Vaughn, who painted the mural!
Because the sky looked like this, and this means the weather is nearing 110 degrees...
Sage started at night...
But then there was light.... and an order to the color...
