We got an email this morning from a colleague telling us we had to check out the 3D street art of John Pugh. Or as Pugh calls it, "Monumental Mural Art." He practices the technique of trompe l'oeil, a technique that involves extremely realistic images creating an optical illusion that makes objects appear in 3D.

Jon Fox was born in Hereford, UK in 1981 and currently lives and works on the south coast near Bournemouth. His work often addresses the conflict of emotion, 'heart against head'. Many of his characters occupy a world of tension and turmoil battling with their own significance while the looming presence of a larger restless energy is at work around them.

If I had a kid I would invite Baer to paint something similar to this in my child’s room, minus the whole bong hits and lady legs. In our opinion, Baer is currently producing some of the most interesting work on freights.

A mini party consisting of corporate executives was held on foggy beach in Nieuwpoort, Belgium recently. The event was planned by artist, Isaac Cordal using his cement sculpture skills.

The Duel with LEGOs

Regardless that this was made with LEGOs (and might we say, some wonderful beheading scenes here and great effects with the LEGO characters), somebody took a ton of time to create this stop-motion piece, The Duel. The director's note: All effects (incl. motion blur/explosions/wind/wood etc.) are in shot and were happening as the picture is taken."

We conclude our presentation of OTW.tv's Time and Space series with close friends Morning Breath, who met while working at nearby Think skateboards in San Francisco in the mid-'90s. Once two separate artists, Doug and Jason established a collaborative way of working together during that time, and still today contribute collaboratively on each design and painting.

With this being Yosuke's third solo show with Thinkspace, the works finds the artist reflecting upon and strongly influenced by the changes in Japan since the Great Earthquake and Tsunami of March 11th, 2011.
