Stanley Donwood, who has ceated the visual identity for superband Radiohead for nearly 20 years, will be opening a new series of works at Subliminal Projects on April 28, 2012, with the exhibition Lost Angeles. Continuing on Donwood's theme set with his London Views series, Lost Angeles will be highlighted by a 18-foot apocalyptic panorama of the City of Angels being destroyed by fire, flood and meteor storm.

Everyday Objects Turned Art Sculptures by Adam Niklewicz

It is always nice to see sense of humor in the art world, and the sculptures of Polish-born, American-based Adam Niklewicz, where he takes everyday household objects and furnishings and transforms them into sculptures, is some of the more playful work we have seen around in quite some time. As curator Steve Holmes writes, "His work evokes not homeland, but rather the absurdity of nostalgia, the futility of trying to be in any place other than the liminal space of the prefixed-American."

The London-based model and Cambridge philosophy graduate uses her body as animated canvas, combining stop-motion, cut-outs, and illustrations in a cheeky (and incredibly sexy) nod to Dadaism.

New Work from Andre Castro

We came across this new illustration from Toronto, Ontario based illustrator Andre Castro, a psychedelic artist who graduated from the Psytrance Canadian University. Andre also collaborates in part with clothing line, Visuals, merging psychedelia into textile design and garment hypercraft, immaterializing 21st century enlightenment
