Official Video: Grizzly Bear "Yet Again" by Emily Kai Bock

Music // Sunday, October 07, 2012
In our opinion, the new Grizzly Bear LP, Shields, is one of the best of 2012, and "Yet Again" one of the best tracks on said album. The track just got a wonderful video treatment from director Emily Kai Bock, following an ice skater's serene yet imperfect routine that descends into a bit of chaos and anger. Like the song. Well done.

Paintings by Simon Birch

Juxtapoz // Sunday, October 07, 2012
After a long talk with Conor Harrington recently, we have become very fascinated with the idea of motion in paintings. When we came across the work of Hong Kong-based Simon Birch recently, we loved the way the artist depicted motion, both in his subjects and also with the surreal elements to his paintings.

The show entitled #BLACKLIGHT is somewhat a mystery and in the words of the gallery, “You’ll never see Guy Overfelt’s face in San Francisco nor his work after this exhibition.” It may be worth a peek, you just might be in for a surprise.
