We are enjoying this series of photographs by photography student David Nemcsik titled Levitation Project. Created for an entrance exam at his Univeristy, the surreal photographs all depict a person floating in the air as if they were sleeping or being pulled into the sky.

In part of an ongoing video series, Italian painter, Zed1, has released his newest segment entitled “Born Slaves.” The artist created an interesting time lapse of an egg deteriorating away to reveal one of his signature characters chained up.

Suspended shirt installations by Kaarina Kaikkonen

Finnish environmental artist Kaarina Kaikkonen uses second-hand clothing to create installations in open spaces, often suspending them above roadways or in large warehouses. Photographed here, her most recent work Are We Still Going On? uses hundreds of children's shirts hung to resemble the interior hull of a ship.

This past Friday night, Urban Outfitters and Vans teamed up with Curtis "LOVE ME" Kulig for a special Valentine's ready pop-up shop in Los Angeles at Space 15 Twenty. Titled House of Hearts, the shop included Kulig's newest collaborations with Urban Outfitters and Vans, our special Juxtapoz cover made especially for the pop-up, and installation works from Kulig and friends. A look at Iconograph Magazine #2

For their second issue, the theme "Ritualistic Iconography" was chosen in setting the mood for this 80-page thoughtfully curated magazine. Based solely on the cover, we were immediately intrigued by the contents of Iconongraph #2. Inside, an eclectic collection of esoteric imagery and writings awaits you from an array of global talent. This publication was printed and organized by Justin Blyth (Them Thangs), with contributing editors Hassan Rahim, Justin Van Hoy (To whom the magazine is dedicated to), and Andrew Pogany.

"Chairs For Abu Dhabi" by Tadsahai Kawamata

We’ve seen some crazy installations this past year, but this one might be the best yet. Japanese artist Tadsahai Kawamata went all out for the fourth annual Abu Dhabi art fair. Kawamata, created a round tower formed out of thousands of chairs. The piece, entitled Chairs For Abu Dhabi, is a twenty-foot tall sculpture that took five days to complete.

Os Gemeos, Retna, Aiko for Louis Vuitton

The famed French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, has enlisted three street artists to create designs for their traditional scarf, shawl and stole models for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Los Angeles-based artist, Retna, New York-based artist, Aiko, and Brazil-based artists, Os Gemeos will all be designing in their own distinctly different styles. Check out some of the sample scarves.

Emiliano Ponzi Illustrates Bukowski

We have shown you the works of Emiliano Ponzi on the site before, and the Italian artist just won an award at the Society of Illustrators New York for his series of illustrations he made for Italian translations of Charles Bukowski's works. NSFW, but definitely worth a viewing...
