Two of our favorite artists and veterans of the print magazine, LA-based Chris Johanson and Johanna Jackson, just finished installing a new commission of custom furnishings on the Lindbrook Terrace at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. The couple created chairs, tables, ottomans, and sofas incorporating used furniture, found wood, and colorful fabrics.

Over the past year, Juxtapoz and Converse have teamed on a unique project, Wall to Wall, where we invite an artist in a city in North America to create a semi-permanent mural based around the artist's interpretation of the iconic Converse star. Today, we look back on the mural created in NYC, Manhattan specifically, by former Juxtapoz cover artist and Barnstormer, David Ellis.

Giant Transformers Sculpture in Asahikawa, Japan

Ever dream of having a giagantic Transformers snow fort? Japanese toy maker Takara Toy does. They are building a 65ft x 426ft x 131ft Transformers sculpture made entirely of snow for the the city of Asahikawa's annual winter festival. The structure is made from around 6,000 truckloads of snow and took 250 workers a month to finish.

These psychadelic neon patterns are the work of Russian biologist and photographer Alexander Semenov. The vibrant macro shots of jellyfish and are as other worldly-looking as his previous photographs of jellyfish, part of a continuing series titled Underwater Experiments.

Galleria Patricia Armocida will be presenting the first solo exhibition in Milan by Marco Mazzoni entitled Il Ricordo è Un Consolatore Molesto (Memory is a Bothersome Consoler) on Tuesday, February 19 at 7:00 PM. Mazzoni, a genius of detail, uses colored pencils to create an intricate chiaroscuro overlapping light and dark for an intense and profound glow.
