Mark Ryden, the multiple Juxtapoz cover artist and one of the most respected names in contemporary art, teamed up with, yes, Odd Future frontman Tyler the Creator for the cover artwork for his upcoming Wolf album. The album, out April 2nd, features a few different cover treatments, but the Ryden one is by far our favorite...

We landed in Honolulu yesterday and hit the ground running, checking out countless murals in progress for POW WOW, an annual gathering of contemporary artists. Some of our favorite artists from the international community as well as fresh, local talent from Hawaii are currently coating walls in the Kaka’Ako neighborhood, and there are good vibes around every corner. Nothing beats painting in paradise.

"Parachute Factory" This Saturday in San Diego

This Saturday evening in Downtown San Diego, Yeller and Sezio present Parachute Factory, an event that will host a gathering of artists and musicians from the San Diego region in a historic building that once was home to a parachute producing enterprise run by two African-American entrepreneurs back in the 1940s.

We are really enjoying the paintings of San Francisco native and Orange County-based artist Justin Bower. Bower studied fine art and philosophy at the University of Arizona, Tucson and earned his Master of Fine art in Painting at Claremont Graduate University.

James Blake has released a new music video. Retrograde, directed by Martin de Thurah. The first single off his sophomore album Overgrown, the video follows an astronaut/biker through a bizarre dance party in her search for a fallen star.

Kraftwerk Performs @ Tate Modern, London

Electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk performed a six night retrospective at the Tate Modern in London during which they performed each of their albums chronologically. Watch a short video on the performance after the jump.

Floral Skull by Jacky Tsai

These floral skulls by London-based artist Jacky Tsai are part of a larger work of sculptures, prints, and drawings; all of which he covers in ornate floral patterns. Jacky has worked at Alexander McQueen creating patterns and textiles and is now working on the debut of his own fashion line.

"Transform," Photographs by Bence Bakonyi

In his new series, Transform, Hungarian-based photographer Bence Bakonyi has placed people in different locations and matched them to the colors and patterns in each scene. Bakonyi studied at Maholy-Nagy School of Art and Design and currently lives in Budapest.
