Preview: Sage Vaughn "Life" @ Scion AV Installation, LA

Juxtapoz // Friday, January 11, 2013
One of our favorites here at Jutapoz, Sage Vaughn, is set to open a new show, Life, at the Scion AV Installation space in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 12. The show is described as a "body of work inspired by a word that describes almost anything; it covers so much, it means nothing." Tell that to Kanye. Tell that to Life Magazine. In fact, tell that to the cast of Facts of Life. Check a preview after the jump...

Reminder: Ed Templeton "Memory Foam" @ Roberts & Tilton, LA

Juxtapoz // Friday, January 11, 2013
Roberts & Tilton is pleased to announce an exhibition of recent photographs by Ed Templeton (featured in our February 2012 issue) in his fifth exhibition with the gallery. Templeton has long mined the middle ground between the public and the private, delving unreservedly into the human situation, creating photographs that are at once heartbreaking and outrageous, comical and sinister, his images, a visual litmus test of American youth culture in all its twisted luminescence.

Moonwalk

Just a casual tightrope walk by moonlight near Cathedral Peak at Yosemite National Park in California. Dean Potter took the walk, and amazingly, this was shot from over 1 mile away with a Canon 800mm and 2X by Michael Schaefer. Watch the video after the jump . . .

Today, we look back on the mural created in Austin, Texas by artist Josh Row. Row opted for a colorful, multi-charactered, text-based mural, featuring perhaps the most street cred worthy giraffe we have ever seen.
