We are enjoying the Buddhist-influenced mechanical sculptures of South-Korean artist Zang Zi Won this morning. "The natural human features of Wang's 'post-human' or 'post-person' sculptures with its serene and meditative expression are juxtaposed against the disjointed mechanical components...At the core of Want's works is the issue of decision making- the emotive human decisions against the coded and system judgments made by machines."

Carnage: Bombing New York issues I and II zines

Each one has a screen-printed cover, is 48 pages and comes in a limited edition. The zines will be available tomorrow at the Brooklyn Zine Fest at Public Assembly and online on Monday.

BC Gallery Grand Opening in Berlin

A new gallery space will be opening next week started by Nick Bargezi and Los Angeles-based gallery owner Seth Carmichael that will be locatedin the highly active Libauer Strasse area of Berlin. For their first exhibition they have enlisted some of the most active street artists from around the globe, including artists that have we feature often like Intereseni Kazki, Inti, Jaz, M-City, Sowat and more. The grand opening is on April 26, 2013, so be sure to check them out if you are in or around Berlin.

Preston Scott Cohen's "DaTong Library" is Under Construction

Boston-based designer and architect Preston Scott Cohen's design for the Datong Library in China is currently under construction. The 'grand architectural gesture' is a book ramp, which ties four floors of books together. Aircraft design software was used to realize a complex skin that envelopes the 'dramatically soaring tectonic form.'
