Juxtapoz // Wednesday, December 12, 2012
Sam Flores loves the number 12. He named his clothing line 12Grain, he really wanted his cover story with Juxtapoz to happen in December, the 12 month, and now he is opening his first solo show in SF in years on the perfect date: 12/12/12. We have a look at some of the paintings that will be in the show, Lion and the Lamb.

Os Gemeos x Louis Vuitton coming January 2013

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, December 12, 2012
The latest in a long line of successful collaborations with the fine art world, fashion powerhouse Louis Vuitton has turned to Brazilian twins (and 2x Juxtapoz cover artists), Os Gemeos for a new series of designs. Little sneak shots were posted on the twins' Instagram account, so all we can do is speculate on the full collection, but there will be a scarf, it will be released in January 2013, and somewhere, a line is forming.

Wood Sculptures by Jaehyo Lee

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, December 12, 2012
A stunning series of wood sculptures (more like wood reformations and morphings) by Korean sculptor Jaeyho Lee. We like to think that these just magically appear in the woods, and an unsuspecting hiker just comes across them and begins to believe in UFOs. But alas, Lee is behind the work, and both in gallery and in nature, they are awe-inspiring.

Landscapes by Levi van Veluw

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, December 12, 2012
This 4-piece series reinterprets the traditional landscape painting, removing plots of grass, clusters of trees, babbling brooks from their intimate 2 dimensional formats and transposing them onto the 3 dimensional contours of his own face. Thus a fresh twist is given to the obsession inherent in the romantic landscape of recreating the world and simultaneously being part of it. The romantic landscape and self-portrait genres are combined as a means of re-examination.

The World's Largest Basket

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, December 12, 2012
The world's largest basket happens to be the headquarters of Longaberger, you guessed it, a manufacturer of baskets and other craft goods. The building, standing 7 stories tall, is quite handy unto itself: the "handles" apparently wick away snow in the winter. Not sure how, but hey, it snows a lot in Newark, Ohio.
