Robert Beatty is an artist and musician. He plays music through his band Hair Police, his solo project Three Legged Race and contributions to C. Spencer Yeh's Burning Star Core. He also has crafted an enormous amount of cover art for various acts including ONeohtrix Point NEver, Peaking Lights and Real Estate. His art is reminiscent of airbrushed 1970s rock albums but he has utilized computer-manipulated collage and hand-drawn art to bring a modern touch to the style...

Alien-Looking "Kunsthaus Graz" Building Inhabits Historic Neighborhood

The historic center of the city of Graz is located on the River Mur in Austria is home to the Kunsthaus Graz, a building designed by Sir Peter Cook and Colin Fournier in 2003. The 2,500 square meter space is dedicated for changing contemporary art exhibitions, functions and events. The strange, blob-like, blue bubble blends with a heritage-protected part of the building and uses 930 computercon trolled light sources under the building's skin to create a 45-meter display that allows the building to communicate with its environment....

With a stunning backdrop, 79 floors above Hong Kong, we attended the special pop-up gallery show of Retna and Keith Haring tonight in Hong Kong during the Art Basel festivities. Featuring iconic Haring works mixed with new works by Los Angeles-based Retna, the works played in unison of a both an exploration of language and unique character construction.
