This week in Boston, a Juxtapoz favorite Raul Gonzalez III opened a brand new exhibition, Los Nuevos Guerreros, featuring some fantastic works on paper. With both a comic and political cartoon bent, the show features the namesake series that Gonzalez has been working on since 2011.

Yes, you can literally and metaphorically stop and smell the roses at the Monterey Museum of Art-La Mirada when visiting the the Andrew Schoultz In Process exhibition which opened last Friday, June 12th. Joining the prolific and personable Schoultz and his artist wife Hilary Pecis were fans from up and down the coast who delight in the narratives.

We have to be honest, we're still don't completely understand how 3D printing works. Nonetheless, we are loving the huge advancements the technology has made and what people have been able to produce using them. From the printer that makes sculptures to NASA 3D printing food, it all seems like a ton of fun. Architecture graduate students LIz and Kyle von Hasseln have used it to print sugar for the top of a cake. Awesome.

Cleveland-based sand sculptor and woodworker Carl Jara frequents sand sculpture competitions  around the nation and often winning awards and sometimes first place. He has shot a time-lapse of his most recent sculpture, Infiniti, which one first place at the Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Competition. Sounds fun!
