In anticipation of the opening of her solo show, Dreamgirls & Ukes, opening this Friday February 13th at Thinkspace Gallery, we caught up with Portland based artist Amy Crehore to ask her a few questions. 20 Questions, to be exact.

In her first Los Angeles solo show, Crehore will unveil 14 new oil works on linen plus a whopping 13 custom-painted antique ukuleles. On top of that, this muti-faceted artist will be performing at the show opening this Friday at 9PM with her band, The Hokum Scorchers. So many reasons to brave lucky Friday the 13th!

Though the artist has been hard at work on a special mural installation for the front of the gallery space, Amy took the time to answer our burning questions, so take the opportunity to get to know her a bit better- and also sneak a peek at a few preview shots of her new work and in-progress mural, below.
