This is more than a book; it’s a tangible labor of love. We’re talking about BloodWork: Sleeves from Analog. Weighing in at 12 pounds, this collection of tattoo work really takes it up a notch (or ten).

Years in the making, BloodWork: Sleeves is the definitive anthology of the art of tattoo sleeves from the masters of the Analog Tattoo Arts Kolectiv. A book of stunning images offered to the viewer in page after oversized page of pull-out splendor, this book is as much of a piece of artwork as is the subject matter it covers.

Aside from the sheer size of the book, each page pulls out to fully feature a sleeve in 360-degree clarity. The cover also boasts a sizable hologram, all packaged in a crisp black and red case.

“The sleeve is an exceptionally dynamic form,” writes Adrian Lee in the book’s introduction. “As actuators of our minds, arms are the fulcrum and lever’s of our life’s work. […] Our arms represent the strength of ours souls. With the proper application, the force conveyed by tattooed images can be immensely powerful. This is perhaps one of many reasons why tattooing has always enjoyed universal appeal and flourished amongst tribal and/or proletariat classes.”
