Porous Walker really likes art. He tries to make his own all of the time. I enjoy working outside and at night the most.

I am lucky, I don't get it, but I am grateful.  I was lucky again to be asked to be a part of a show at Park Life with some of my top 10 favorite artists, Skinner, Ferris Plock, Jay Howell and Deth P. Sun. Bro Palace opens this Friday Feb. 26 2010.

I went to install my crap and brought along my shaky hands and a mobile phone/camera device thing I own and tried to snap some pictures, but they came out all bluzzy, so I decided that I could just post these as a sneak peak for the show, you will have to head over to Clement st. friday night or after that to see the art firsthand.

I also installed my prototype extra money dispenser in the gallery, so get in early and get your extra money, supplies limited.

The Island of the Church of the Holy Ladder to Heaven model was created by Porous Walker in 2008, with full intentions of creating a place where if one so desired they could travel to the island, located in the Bay of Honduras, officially known as a caye, Deane Caye to be exact. Upon arriving at the Island, guests will line up single file style and begin a slow yet meditative up the volcanic knoll that makes up the Island. The path is adorned with sharp and slippery gravel, not an easy climb, but neither is life and this is the nature of the design. When you feel you have achieved more than enough in your life and are stuck wondering where to go next, The Island of the Church of the Holy Ladder to Heaven may be your best route.

After advancing up the pathway, guests will reach a small chapel where brother Son Andold and his trivial wife, Merry a nun of unknown faith reside. Also residing on the island is Pandolds personal assistant, Tammi.

Guests can rest inside the chapel for 15 min. and nosh on local conch prepared daily in various styles and quench thirsts with a local hallucinagenic drink known only as Ernestososos. The drink is said to help provide courage at the moment of truth, which arrives minutes after your fifteen minutes of rest. Guests clamber up another small hill and finally reach the Ladder.

Ladder Technician, General Larson will be on hand to assist guests up the first couple of rungs.

The Ladder ascent is believed to be one of pure ectasy and great peace awaits beyond the clouds.
