If you’re like us, you grew up rocking out to Green Day. Therefore, it comes at pure delight we see an entire exhibit (21 original pieces) commissioned by the band to celebrate their album, 21st Century Breakdown.
Curated by artist Logan Hicks, the Art of Rock show at London's StolenSpace Gallery exhibits the 21 paintings from October 23rd until November 1st, 2009 to coincide with Green Day’s completely sold out UK concert tour.
Artists featured include C215, Will Barras, Ron English, The London Police, Chris Stain, Sixten, Adam 5100 and many more.
Each participating artist was sent one lyric sheet, and then asked to produce a piece of art reflecting that song. Music and art never blended so well.
