'Radiohead artist' Stanley Donwood blew the mind of our managing editor, Evan Pricco, way back when he interviewed him two years ago. Hear why he is the next contributing artist to be a part of our 15th Anniversary Art Auction now.
Words Fail Me, a solo exhibition of new work by artist Mike Stilkey, comes to Denver, Colorado’s David B. Smith Gallery. “This is my first solo show with this gallery,” writes Stilkey. “I will have 20 new pieces, including book sculptures and paintings, and I will be creating an on-site installation.”
In How to Blow Yourself Up, opening November 7th at Subliminal Projects gallery, WK Interact (Juxtapoz cover #96) twists and inverts the fatalism of end-of-the-world prophecies, turning destruction into a matter of free will. “If you believe the world will end in 2012 and you can’t do anything about it, maybe it’s better to blow yourself up when you feel like it,” says WK.
