New Works, a solo exhibition by artist Gregory Euclide, comes to David B. Smith Gallery beginning this Friday, October 23rd. The show looks like a really great exhibition, depicting the contradictions among land, the cultural construction of landscape, and the practice of landscape painting.
Porto Alegre’s Fita Tape Gallery (co-owned by Juxtapoz Brazilian correspondent, Ana Ferraz) will soon be hosting a Billy Argel (Juxtapoz #102) exhibition. “Artist Fauxreel just put up this new piece in the west end of Toronto,” writes Simon Cole. “Really feeling these new abstracted paste ups. It's interesting how they incorporate the wall surface in to the image.”
Bruno Kurru (Juxtapoz #102) is a Brazilian artist whose work is often characterized by a strong relationship between elements of line drawing and appropriated materials, creating an unexpected yet harmonious ensemble. Luckily, Kurru just updates his website with new works.
“On set shooting a new video that’s set to air November 1st, showcasing the start of a new artist line LRG is putting out, all designed by Augor and Pose,” shares Augor (Juxtapoz #99). “This is going the be big.”
