Tonight, August 25, in Beverly Hills, Stephen Webster presents Room Editions, a photo exhibit by Patrick Hoelck. The exhibition will feature selected and limited edition prints from Hoelck's newest book, Polaroid Hotel. The book featured intimate moments of Hoelck's life over the past 17 years.

Paganini Caprice #5 by Cory Arcangel
Cory Arcangel, whom we featured in our January 2011 issue, created this video of his version of Paganini’s 5th Caprice, spliced together from a few hundred guitar instructional videos. The video is part of Arcangel's exhibition at Whitney Museum of American Art, Pro Tools, up through September 11, 2011.
A Candle Woman is a Candle Woman
Creepy? Yes. Spooky? Yes. A wax woman sculpture with built in candle wicks, created by A.F.Vandevorst (a Belgian store/fashion label it seems) for the Arnhem Mode Biennale 2011. The video is quite stunning to watch.
Totems by Alain Delorme
French photographer Alain Delorme created this series, Totems, while living in Shanghai, China in 2009. As noted on his website, while one is usually fascinated by the delusion of grandeur of Chinese society, Delorme chose to focus on the individuals running around the city. The work is currently on display in Bilbao at Sala Rekalde.

If you are like us, you have a loose change jar. Come home at night, put a few pennies, dimes, and nickels in there, and you may have yourself a few hundred dollars every few years. In the case of Stacey Lee Webber, she reimagines and uses loose change to create various objects that define blue collar, industrial America.

On view until August 27th at Sadie Coles HQ in London is X-Rated by William Copley. Copley's provocative and sexually graphic paintings draw from a combination of pop and american folk aesthetics that implement seemingly boneless flesh and bright, abstracted, patterned background of wall paper, blankets and floor tiles from the seventies.

Michael Reedy, based in where we assume to be Illinois, has been created a few series of paintings and drawings using anatomy as the main concern. His subjects are both men and women, with almost a comic influence with some of his newer works.

Lizzy Stewart is an illustrator based in Edinburgh. We have shown her body of work on the site before, but keep finding gems. Her work is centered around a desire to tell stories, her environment, folk culture, and music. And while we're on the topic of stories, she illustrated one of our favorite novels, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.
