Last week Porous and I met up with fellow Jux blogger Meighen O'Toole (and soon to be S.F. resident) for some art viewing and talking about things that make us smile. Since Meighen already posted her photos, this is a cross-blogination of sorts.

We met up at Needles and Pens, Andy Scott on the left, Porous in the middle and Meighan on the right.

Nick Mann aka Doodles currently has work in the gallery space.

These are my favorites from the display, love the detail work.

After Needles we went to check out the Jason Jagel show at Fifty24SF. We met the new gallery director Amanda (I think, sorry I'm bad with names) and talked about some good things they have coming up in the coming months. Free coffee and popcorn provided by Porous?

J.J. does high quality illustration and painting, great work and a pleasure to see in person. Hadn't seen much of his work before but after this show I'm a fan.

I had to shoot this a few times to get it right, still don't know if it really represents how fucking awesome it is.

After that, we surprised Mr. Jay Howell at his day job.

 Crowd before the Banksy film premiere at the Victoria Theater. Thanks to Porous for getting me in.

 Porous got on stage, made an announcement and got the crowd to get up out of their seats and pose for a picture.

Because he forgot his camera he used/took Meighan's, see the photo on her blog.

After that, he dropped about ten dollars on the crowd below. Then I got food poisoning and missed part of the end of the film.

Great film, go see it and be entertained, enthralled and informed. Thanks to those who made it and brought it to S.F.
