Director and veteran feature animator Ryan Woodward has finally realized a lifelong dream with "Bottom of the Ninth," an animated graphic novel app exclusively for iPad and iPhone. By animating key panels in the serialized comic's story arch, Woodward blurs the line between still and moving image, adding kinetic value without diminishing the unique expressive power of the graphic novel. The series' prologue will be available in May 2012.

Stephanie Brown is an artist, tattooist, and self-described wayward tumbleweed based in Chicago, IL. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010, focusing on painting and drawing. With subject matter ranging from observations of the natural world to interpretations on supernatural mythos, Brown's artistic talent extends across disparate genres, styles, and mediums.

We can't find much information about Vincent Mahé on the web, other than that he's a director, designer, and illustrator living in Jerusalem. We do know for certain that Mahé has some mad illustration skills, as he aptly demonstrates in this series of images based on the 7 deadly sins (with 5 sins down and two more to go). Illustrator extraordinaire, Matthew Houston, fits right in with the other comics and artists over at Meathaus, a loosely defined collective of friends and associates contributing to irregular comics and art anthologies and an art-blog-website with a special emphasis on drawing, sketchbooks and comics. I love his raw, gore-based illustration work but the scope of what he is capable of exceeds that tremendously.

Kozue Oshima was born in Kanagawa, Japan and graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 2002. 'For me, before creation, I usually have the image, composition, and how the story appears planned out, it is very important... Fionn McCabe is an illustrator tending to surrealist influenced collage style drawings in grayscale and monotone palettes. Fionn studied printmaking at the Massachusetts college of Art and Design. He co-founded Oh Nancy with Nate Wellman in 2005 and is currently one of the projects three directors. Fionn lives and works in Los Angeles, California with his wife, where he draws, writes and listens to many audio books.
