Watercolor to Videogame: The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom
Tuesday February 16, 2010 |
![]() Vincent Perea is an illustrator living in Los Angeles that we featured online a few years back. Not only has his style progressed, but his interests have as well. “I still continue to produce new works in that [watercolor] style but I have spent the past two years working on a new video game.”
“The game is titled The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom and it is about a silent film star who breaks the space time continuum in order to fulfill his love of pie. The art style is what helps set this game apart.
“The style of the game is reminiscent of black and white era films and the whole art direction has an Edward Gorey, German expressionist, steampunk vibe.
“I worked as the games concept artist, and Illustrator. The game features up to 70 children's book style Illustrations which progress the story forward.”
