Canvas? No, give Jamie Wardley a nice mound of sand to get his creative talents going. Wardley is the man behind Sand In Your Eye, where he travels the globe making very unique sculptures out of two of the world’s most natural elements.

Based in the UK, Wardley does with sand and ice the most talented of sculptors can do with bronze or ceramic. His impressive creations have taken him to Holland, Germany, Finland, Latvia, Cardiff, Liverpool, Wales, Morecambe and even Leicester to help make a sculpture for Nicola Wood this year.

“For the winter ice season I'll be in Holland and then in Halifax on the 20th December for our second ice sculpture trail,” the artist says. “Then after opening a few presents, over to make the ice hotel in arctic Finland.”
