Never Heard Of Yah: Alexis Mackenzie Studio Visit

San Francisco-based Alexis Mackenzie creates meticulously abstract collages from a variety of found books. I stopped by Alexis's studio while she was preparing for a 2 person show opening this Saturday at Swarm Gallery in Oakland. Her most recent work is refreshingly different from previous collages. Here is what I saw.
