Los Angeles artist and tattoo master Mister Cartoon (Juxtapoz cover #70) was asked by Snoop Dogg to create the custom album cover artwork for his forthcoming Malice In Wonderland. Mister Cartoon teamed up with photographer extraordinaire Estevan Oriol (Juxtapoz cover #70) and the two came up with the perfect blend of sexy ladies, low-rider cars, and Los Angeles culture to fit the feel of Snoop Dogg’s new album.
Now, Mister Cartoon has generously donated this piece of hip-hop history, the original album cover canvas, to our Big Payback art auction.
If you are a Mister Cartoon, Estevan Oriol, or Snoop Dogg fan, this is one piece of music iconography that cannot be downloaded, burned, or shared. The piece, Harbor Area Style, is now available at CharityBuzz.com. Bid on it now here.
Estevan Oriol has also donated an original photograph, Bloods, (also the cover image of our 2008 Photography Issue) which is now up for bidding here.
See a 'Making Of' video with Cartoon, Oriol, or Snoop Dogg here.
