There was nary a doubt Francis Bean Cobain harbors potential for artistic wonderment, we’ve just been waiting to witness the path with which she’d channel her genetic gift. In February Cobain announced her musical debut would accompany former Dresden Dolls frontwoman Amanda Palmer on Palmer’s new album, more specifically on the song “MySpace.” Five months later Bean has expanded her creative mark to include visual arts, or in particular graphite and ink on paper. Using the pseudonym Fiddle Tim, Francis Bean Cobain’s first exhibit, titled Scumfuck, of notebook drawings centers around a portrait of GG Allin, “the only among the dozen drawings included in this exhibition to reference fame of any kind,” has not only demanded the attention of the art community at large, its sold out completely. Exhibiting her father’s proclivity for privacy in everyday life (quite the opposite of her mother), “The fact that this subject sought fame at any cost juxtaposes the chosen anonymity of the artist.”

"Did you ever look, into her dads art?" Courtney Love Tweeted to a fan who praised Bean’s work. "I think it’s astonishing & considering her chemistry its a good thing. What if she had to keep all those demons bottled inside?"
"I adore my daughter," her Tweets continued, "and miss her. But that Scumfuck stuff is cool."
