White Walls of San Francisco recently added talented young artist Ernesto Yerena to its roster. As a friend and collaborator of Shepard Fairey, there are several similarities between the artists’ works, particularly in their use of stencil collage on paper. However, with his “Hecho Con Ganas” project, Ernesto steps out into his own, focusing on his own Latin American heritage.
Ernesto particularly focuses on progressive political revolutionaries of South America like Che Guevara and Cesar Chavez. His intention is to encourage fellow Latin Americans to take action as these cultural heroes have done, handing the power to the people. Peep a video of the artist at work below.
