Welcome October with Our Pushead Curated Issue
Thursday October 01, 2009

Holy shit. It’s October. How is it already October? To help lessen the blow, we’d like to remind you this month’s issue is a special Pushead curated edition. In it, we tweaked our standard formula, allowing Pushead a carte blanche to get crazy and grotesque with this issue, just in time for Halloween.

There's yet another reason why this issue is so special. Remember Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? The Golden Ticket? Well, we have specially released 500 "Green Issues," (shown above) featuring a different Pushead piece on the cover, for you to go out and find on newsstands across the globe. (We have a few in our webstore too, but not many, so get them quick).

Dive into Autumn with this issue, which features interviews with renowned artists Wes Benscoter, Mike Sutfin, Kostas Seremetis, Kris Verwimp, Eric So, John Cebellero, Rockin’ Jelly Bean, Kristin Callahan, Mark A. Nelson, and reclusive fine artist, Takato Yamamoto. The issue also pays tribute to artists Martin Emond and Zdzislaw Beksinski.

Both the features on Japanese artists Rockin’ Jelly Bean and Takato Yamamoto are published in the issue in their native language, so if you don't read Japanese, head over to juxtapoz.com/Features/takato-yamamoto and juxtapoz.com/Features/rockin-jellybean for their respective translations.

Summer may be officially over, but we're hoping October will be wonderfully creepy with Pushead.
