“You're either gonna be a terrible old man or a really cool old man, so you might as well try and point your way towards cool,” John Dwyer states. Hear more from this artist in a newly released Walrus TV Artist Feature.

Artist, musician, and self-proclaimed "dirtbag" John Dwyer ain't afraid to get grimy. The frontman of San Francisco's Thee Oh Sees and a veteran of a few other noteworthy post-punk and noise bands, he's seen his fair share of dive bars and chaotic late nights, and even some medical near-disasters.

Hectic and anecdotal, his artwork is inspired by everything from finding ways to cheat the system to childhood cartoons to barbecue. Watch the interview conducted by his friend and fellow artist Kottie Paloma, available for the first time to the public for free, from Walrus TV.
