Vans recently re-booted their online Customs program, adding new styles, a ton of new patterns and colors plus cool new collaboration and sharing functions.  To help kick it off, they're running a contest open to aspiring designers and doodlers alike to create a new pattern that they will make available for all to choose from when designing a Vans Customs shoe.

Submit a new pattern design for Vans' Customs site and you'll have a chance to win $2,000, plus 10 customs shoe certificates and other cool prizes.
