Power House Project is a non-profit based in Detroit “designed to stimulate communication and action excitement within an otherwise challenging, albeit unique Detroit neighborhood.” In other words, they are making Detroit a better, more livable place by purchasing and renovating homes, seeing “the house as a kind of performance piece.” They are also the beneficiary of our upcoming 15th Anniversary Art Auction.

Powerhouse is not only systematically working to reinvigorate a community in a slumping economy, but they run a damn good blog documenting life in Detriot.
