When was the last time you thought to yourself, "Damn, I wish I was in Norway."? How about now? The NuArt Festival, a celebration of contemporary urban art and street culture, begins on Thursday, September 6th in the chilly hamlet of Stavengery, Norway. The festival, going into its sixth year, is a crazy mash-up of gallery and street art that takes over the town. Artists from all over the world come to display their work in the Rogaland Kunstmuseum and on the streets. Businesses and residents donate their walls for the artists to work on and the gallery runs a show of the work created during the festival. Basically the town becomes one big gallery show for fans of street art to meander through. The idea of an entire town coming together to support a renegade art form warms our hearts.
