The Fully-Functional Bike Made Completely of Wood
Tuesday May 03, 2011 |
![]() Fifty-nine year-old Slawomir Weremkowicz of Biala Podlaska, Poland could have just wrapped his career up after spending years as a plumber. Instead, he created a fully-functional bicycle made completely out of wood. For Slawomir, constructing a wood bicycle means a focus on ecology and care for the cleanliness of the environment. The cutting down trees part is left out, but still, there is something masterful about the creation. According to GizFactory, "Slawomir uses simple woodcarving tools like chisels and saws to make his wooden bicycles. The seat, steering, even the pedals, chain and the screws are made only from a variety of wood (oak, ash, beech and plywood)." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Related Articles
