Sunday February 28, 2010 |
![]() It’s that time of year again: Holi time! India’s brightest holiday, The Festival of Colors, otherwise known as Holi, marks the start of spring in a very joyous manner.
The Indian Festival of Colors, Holi, welcomes springtime and makes almost all Indians not only playful but also childlike in the beautiful celebration of it.
Holi is celebrated the day after the first full moon in March. Celebrations begin the night before with a large bonfire and go on the next day, with people showering each other with colors in both powder and water form.
Images from past Indian Holi celebrations are simply mesmerizing. Remind us to book our flights to India for next March.
