The art of Siobhan McClure

 Siobhan McClure, currently showing at Richard Heller Gallery with Driven Into Paradise: The Tale of Pearl, creates work with oil on canvas over panel. Her subject matter is children, with the current series regarding "fragments from an epic narrative of the flight and survival of small, isolated bands of children escaping the destruction of a city." Bits and pieces of McClure's body of work has shown up on various blogs and forums we frequent, but her show at Richard Heller is the first full series we have seen, and the works are definitely worth a look.
