Return of the Quack: New Online Game from Matt Furie
Saturday September 25, 2010 |
![]() San Francisco based illustrator Matt Furie (Juxtapoz #109) shared some “silly stuff” with us, which is really an awesome new online game he created with web game designer Chevy Ray Johnston. With characters like Lazerduck and Governor Cheeseburger, this game couldn’t be any fun at all.
It’s called ">Return of the Mack never ceases to get old.
Furie’s richly colored illustrations and paintings that reflect his fun-loving personality blend well with Johnston’s energetic and creative online games.
The game is described as such: After living in peace for ten years in the quiet town of Pondland, Ducky returns to Songbird Kingdom to find it overrun with radioactive junk food and twisted mutants. With help from his flying friend Lazerduck, Ducky attempts to stop the unwelcome baddies and return peace to his once beautiful town.
The leader of the bad guys, Governor Cheeseburger, is behind the whole mess and will not rest until the rebel duck is stopped!
A videogame art show to be held at the Scion Space in Culver City on November 13th will also feature this new game; stay tuned for details.
