Rafael Silveira’s capricious, surrealist paintings will soon fill the walls of Choque Cultural Gallery in São Paulo, his first solo exhibition at the gallery.

Rafael Silveira has been in the game for a while, beginning in the late '80s as a child, producing fanzines. In mid-2000, his interest turned to the illustration and he has produced a formidable body of personal and commissioned work since then, including two of his own books of his works.

Silveira has continued to refine his craft, and his particular breed of iconic and absurdist characters that will be on display are some of his best yet.

The show opens this Saturday, March 6th at Choque Cultural in Brazil. You can see more of his work on his website here.
