Tonight is the night. Oxenrose and Brazil's Autista Collective open The Dirty Hairy Show this evening, October 25th.
This group show explores a personal and somewhat delicate matter: hair. With a collection of works on canvas, sculpture, video, and interactive projections, this show aims to serve as an extra-sensorial experience.
For The Dirty Hairy Show, over 14 of Brazil’s top emerging artists, as well as special American guests, will be part of the show including Elisa Sassi, shown here working on her 3 room mural. "She flew in from London, and is originally from Brazil, to be at our show," Oxenrose co-curator, Nico Lopez told us.
A portion of all earnings from the show will be donated to help autistic children in Brazil. The creative minds behind The Dirty Hairy Show have also put together a limited edition line of t-shirts, designed and signed by the artists to be sold at the opening reception! Each design is limited to 30 tees and will go fast, as there are only 90 shirts total.
