PaperMonster's upcoming solo show Feast opens tomorrow Friday, October 3rd at Metropolis Gallery in Lancaster, PA. The show will feature some incredible stencil art pieces- all playing around with a combination of negative space and powerful imagery.
In Feast, PaperMonster explores the broad and multifaceted spectrum of emotions, from anger and distress to love and desire, and its effects on the intricacies of female facial expressions. In this new body of works, he draws inspiration from people both real and fictional as well as the iconic poses fashioned by comic artists of the 1950s-60s era.
"With each new piece there is a level of experimentation, which leads towards growth and it allows a very natural shift in direction," states PaperMonster. His visually exciting work allows viewers to dive deeper into exploring the complex stories within, preventing onlookers from merely taking the intricate work at face value.
If you are in the Pennsylvania area, make sure to hit up Metropolis Gallery and Feast your eyes upon PaperMonster’s newest collection.
Feast runs October 3 - 31, 2008. Preview the show on Flickr here.
